The Great Escape

When the world is getting too much for you, wouldn’t it be nice just to hit a button and be transported to a calm, safe place where you could gather your thoughts?

For an autistic person who is acutely sensitive to everything around them – particular sounds, a flash of colour, the actions of others – even a VR game specifically designed for them has the possibility to overstimulate from time to time.

That’s where the Smart Watch in BLINNK and the Vacuum of Space comes into play.

There’s lots to see, lots to do, lots of new faces to get to know. If it all gets too much, the player can simply press their Smart Watch and they are lifted out of the game and into a soothing space where they can relax and catch a breath, and even adjust elements in the game their playing on the Accessibility menu.

In their own time, they can then press again and drop back into the game exactly where they left off.

It’s just one of the many features that have been built into BLINNK to help autistic players get the most from the experience.

If only we could build a Smart Watch that does the same in real life…
